If we are wise, we will make more opportunities, than we
will find.
So don't go searching out, but look within. Don't wait for
opportunities to knock on your front door, it's already here.
To create or recognize opportunities with what you already
have, here are the things you'll need to open windows of opportunities for yourself, especially in BPO Philippines.
The right mind-set
When you take charge of your life, you can create
opportunities.
You have to have faith in yourself, belief in that you can
be successful. This gives you initiative and drive to take on the challenge of
making the most of your career, or hobby or your possessions/resources and turn
these into opportunities.
With this mind set, you'll be able to analyze opportunities,
learn from mistakes, and achieve experience to make sound decisions.
Self-knowledge
Knowledge is power and knowledge of one's self is a great
power to use in making opportunities happen for you.
You have to know your value, skills, strengths and
weaknesses, and passions.
When you know what you can do and can't do and what you like
and what you don't like, you can shape an opportunity that fits you. This is
better and easier than changing yourself to fit something you don't even like.
Then when you know your limits, you can know how to overcome
them by acquiring more knowledge and practice or, asking help from others,
involving friends or partners.
A spirit of adventure
Opportunities are usually good ideas, and good ideas come
from good imagination. And good imagination comes from good experiences, even
mistakes, when you have a spirit for adventure.
Adventure is all about the willingness to explore,
experience and experiment.
It takes courage to try something never been tried before,
or to go to places or meet people.
It also requires resilience, for failure is almost certain,
success is rarely instant.
And sometimes when faced with failure, someone with a spirit
of adventure can be flexible to the challenges and surprises.
But the odds can go
to your favor when you don't give up, when you keep going even slowly as
long as you don't stop. That's the spirit of adventure.
