Be a LEADER, in any Job

It doesn’t matter what your job is, being able to lead well is important if you want to be promoted in your career in BPO Philippines

If you wish to be successful someday in your job, you must build up skills in good leadership.

Aegis Peoplesupport hosts BPO training at ACT-Cebu

Three-hundred twenty new graduates and out-of-school youths can get an opportunity to earn, while being trained for call center jobs in BPO Philippines this 2012.

Aegis People Support and its training arm Aspire People Solutions have partnered with Asian College of Technology (ACT), Cebu Philippines for a dual training program called “Earn and Learn.”

Under the Earn and Learn program, Aegis People Support will work closely with ACT to train near hires.

The first batch of trainees; eleven trainees and six faculty members, had already started their one month training in ACT. They still have to undergo another two to three months training with Aspire People Solutions. The trainees would be paid a minimum of P305 a day as allowance.

This is the first dual training system implemented between an outsourcing company and the academe; the program would better enable and equip the academe to conduct trainings to would-be outsourcing employees.

“We are very happy about this program and we will be committing our support to them. This will help enable us bring the academe and industry closer. It’s good that Aspire decided to share their expertise with the academe on how to do trainings for call centers. We always welcome such initiative.”
-- LUISITA YEE, Provincial head, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

The system aims to train 20 to 25 personnel from ACT every month. Aegis People Support also plans to partner with other schools like the University of San Jose Recoletos (USJ-R), University of Cebu and University of San Carlos to achieve their 320 target of trainees this year.

Aegis People Support is one of the largest business process outsourcing companies operating in Cebu IT Park. They are currently building their second tower which will seat an additional 4,000 employees.

Aegis People Support works on getting the program officially registered in TESDA so that their partner academic institutions can offer the training to those who want to be part of the booming BPO Philippines.

The Job's not Right for You

Nothing is perfect, so you try to make the best of every work day, grateful that you are employed. You're not content though and clearly not looking forward to the commute to the office but eyes always at the clock until it strikes 5.

Dress Professional, Budget-wise

Making a good impression is important, and it is a wise move to invest in what you wear.

But dressing for work to present a professional image does not mean that you spend a small fortune at a branded clothing store.

A professional image is important in BPO PHILIPPINES, but doesn't have to be an expensive venture.
Here are some quick tips:

  • Get more for your money by shopping smarter.
  • Build on your existing wardrobe with versatile pieces of clothing.
  • Use common sense and moderation when it comes to shopping for a new work wardrobe, and most of all, make sure your budget can handle your purchase first.

More in detail, after the jump!

Know your Employer: TALLECO

Information technology company TALLECO, a 100-seat capacity of workstations newly located in Cebu IT Tower at Cebu Business Park, offers non-voice services and expertise on software development, data entry and other IT-related processes.

Think Your Way Out of the Pile

No one wants to feel "invisible" in life, yet we often let others see us as little more than a statistic, especially when working in a large company or sector, like BPO Philippines

Referred easily as 'applicants', 'employees', or 'human resources', our individual personalities are being buried into 'a pile' of numbers, labels and data.

Most people go into the pile, doing what’s asked of them but not much more.
