A California-based business process outsourcing (BPO) company sets up operations in Cebu, Philippines aiming to initially close the year 2012 with at least 1,500 employees.
ALORICA, a primary provider of customer management outsourcing solutions, projects to hire 6,000 people for its BPO operations in Cebu in the next few years.
The company has already established five offices in the Philippines, currently employing 3,000 people, all located in Metro Manila.
It decided to expand its ventures in Cebu’s BPO environment, with Cebu's good number of manpower supply and skilled talents, fertile business environment, and strong support from the local government to the BPO industry, reliable infrastructure, and active private sector involvement.
Located at the Asiatown IT Park, Alorica's office services the company’s inbound/outbound customers spanning from customer acquisition and sales, customer care and support, logistics and fulfillment.
Since its re-launch in the middle of 2011, Alorica expands in the Philippines and in just half year, has more than tripled their footprint in the country.
The company’s majority clients are the top 1000 corporations in the United States in media and entertainment, finance, technology, communications and travel sectors.
Alorica nearly has 20,000 employees in 40 locations with annual revenues of US$600 million.
