Almost everything we achieve and accomplish in life is with the help and support of others. No one is truly a self-made man or woman.
Being able to connect and convince other people through rapport or understanding is a very important skill we must learn, especially if we wish to rise high in the success ladder of BPO Philippines.
Here are some tips on how to connect to others in order to work well with them.
Understand the value of connecting and cooperating with people.
Every individual has personal limitations. What can be accomplished on one's own resources is small compared when cooperating with others toward a common goal.
Working together for each other's mutual benefit can help in overcoming each other's personal limitations. Working with others can be a more pleasant and rewarding experience that working by oneself.
Build up individual strengths, and share these with others.
Don't completely rely on others, there's a word for that: 'parasite'.
Contribute to the group effort by developing and sharing your own unique talents. Grow your natural abilities so that you have something good to offer in exchange. Connection and cooperation happen when two or three parties can meet each other half-way.
Prepare and practice, always.
Be diligent in your preparations and personal growth. As you connect to other people, always remember that no two persons are completely the same. How you interact with one well might not work well with another.
Seek feedback. How do others find you, respond to you? How do you come off to others? Make sure you ask from the right people to give you reliable feedback to guide you on how to improve in connecting and interacting with others.
Once you get feedback, ponder and practice. Be determined to improve on how to reach others better through communication and connection. Practice on a daily basis; exercise your people skills regularly.
Being able to join people together toward a common objective, and achieving good results are the qualities of a good leader. And good leaders are the demand in BPO Philippines.
