Happiness at Work
In today's competitive job market especially in BPO Philippines, one must be thankful for being employed, even though the grass may seem greener in other pastures, there are ways to keep your current job bright and joyful.
BE PROFESSIONAL
Do your best in acting professional in the office. Prevent personal problems from interfering with your work or bother you from being productive at your job.
It's the same when you're at home, best to keep your office worries in the office, so that you can rest and enjoy time with friends and family.
Being a professional means you try to get along well with most, if not all, your co-workers. Doing so you can gather a circle of support, made up of colleagues who may share similar likes and lifestyles. Having such a support group to help you out, and you help them in return, can do a lot in relieving the work pressure for everyone.
And being a professional means you don't let event and other people's actions affect your performance in the job. A professional thinks of ways to resolve conflicts, prevent problematic situations that harm the office's camaraderie.
MAKE YOUR WORKSPACE 'YOU'
Having a sense of ownership or identity of your own workspace can anchor you to your job or best yet make you look forward to going to work.
If company policy permits, decorate your area to make it a place of comfort and convenience to make you work better, especially when you're at your job eight hours a day. Make it a fun place as it can be.
Creating the ideal workspace can give you 'empowerment'. Organize your work area neatly, along with your task schedule so that it's manageable for you.
You don't need to be overwhelmed at work if you make yourself the right environment where you're prepared with everything you need to get the job done. A little prep can go a long way in executing a task easily, and without stress.
By being proactive and taking control of your workspace and schedule, you experience satisfaction which brings on confidence and motivation.
LIVE HEALTHY TO BE HAPPY
Happiness isn't just an emotional state; it's a physical state too. When your mind and body are functioning well without problems, you'll be in a good mood constantly.
Maintain a good diet and keep yourself properly hydrated throughout your workday can make a big difference in your energy level and attitude.
Avoid bad habits and vices like smoking, drinking liquor or indulging in sugary, oily foods to deal with stress. These aggravate stress in the long run.
Take breaks not just to nourish your body and mind, but exercise too.
By only taking a few minutes during your workday to get up and move a little can add many recovery points to your overall health and happiness in the office.
And while moving about, do remember to take a breather, a deep breather. Stand with your feet together and your arms at your sides. Inhale deeply, then exhale and bend forward. Try to do this movement 10 times.
MAINTAIN A POSITIVE ATTITUDE
Happiness doesn't come out of nowhere, it's not a reaction. It's an action that you can make, by focusing on what's important, what's positive.
Identify the things that you enjoy or appreciate at work, even if they are as simple as your coworkers or the cooling system. If you appreciate the positives, you can make your job more enjoyable.
Reward yourself, indulge yourself out of the office, not only when you do a good job but also when you experience a bad time in the office.
Whether it be dinner with family, or a movie with friends, ice cream, remember to treat yourself every once in awhile.
Following these 4 tips can ensure you that you will enjoy working for the country's sunshine industry where a promising, happy future awaits everyone in BPO Philippines.

Get Paid for What You’re Truly Worth
There's a SECRET to make more money for yourself, especially working in a booming industry like BPO Philippines.
You have to feel you're WORTH the money.
People tend to fail to recognize their value. They give away their time and skills for free or bargain prices, because they don't realize that they're worth more. This personal lack of self-value or self-esteem is at the heart of under earning.
