Be noticed the right way and get promoted right away

Don't think that just because you're skilled and diligent, somehow people will notice and you'll receive your just rewards.

Especially in a service-oriented industry like BPO Philippines, the extroverts are the ones grabbing all the attention, and promotion.

Don't wait for the recognition. Draw the attention to yourself.
Do something to get noticed. Get noticed, and your chances for acknowledgment as well as promotion gets higher.

Speak Up

You must train yourself and prepare to have something to say at least three times at every meeting. Show people you have a perspective, a helpful opinion, an idea, something to contribute to the matter being discussed.

Find out the meeting's agenda beforehand, read it over and develop some ideas about the agenda and note these down for yourself to share during the meeting.

When you're quiet, it may seem that you're not thinking or not interested with what's going on the meeting. Don't let people, especially the boss, think this about you.

Stay Informed and Share

Keep up with what's relevant by reading, browsing the Internet or talking with colleagues.
keep in touch with what's going on in your line of work, in the industry.

Then be sure to share what you've learned and your conclusions about the information you've gathered into conversations, memos or any relevant work material. Take the time to have some useful insights, and then make sure other people know about them, thanks to you.

In organizations today, people who prove themselves as those who can think ahead are rewarded by raises and promotions.

Volunteer

Be watchful for opportunities that will allow you to showcase your best skills and align your efforts assisting or contributing to the boss's key interests. Make sure your hand goes up before others realize there's an opportunity.

And make sure you document any work or participation in any assignment you volunteer for.

After the brief meeting, send an email confirming who is doing what and forward it to  relevant people. Let people, especially the boss, know what's going on.

Anytime there's praise or appreciation regarding the work/ project, relay it to your boss. Good news will always be welcome and will definitely put you up front on your boss' attention as a great employee in BPO Philippines.
