Three Ways to show that You're not Professional

In filling a job, an employer will review and choose from submitted applications and resumes the candidates who are worthy or interesting to be called in for a face-to-face interview.

During this screening process, it is the little mistakes, the unchecked details that can ruin one's chances of being taken seriously as a potential candidate, as a professional in BPO Philippines.

Make sure you watch out for the following and correct them according, in order to get a good shot at the job you're applying for.

Having an inappropriate Email Address for Contact.

If you put "beautifulgurrl@mail.com", "dudebro112@mail.com" or -- worse -- something like "hunkdude_allrite@mail.com" as your email address for contact because you think it's cute, funny, intriguing or even easy to remember, then expect your employer to consider you immature and amateur.

Better to create new account, as emails are available for free, using your complete name or your first initials then your last name to label your email address. Example, "juan_delacruz", "j_delacruz" or "j-dc".

Sending Your Application and Resume Without Proofreading

Mistakes in spelling, grammar and most importantly details and information only indicate clumsiness, carelessness, sloppishness, haste, and irresponsibility--qualities that make an undesirable employee.

Employers are looking for people who are accurate and thorough with details, and most especially, professionals who are competent in communication and delivering information.

Attending to Your Interviews Unprepared.

If you think you can make your way through your interview by just thinking stuff up on the spot and just replying the best way you know how without doing your research about the job and the company, then you're wrong.

Improvising on the spur-of-the-moment during an interview is not missed out by who will do the interviewers, most of whom have a psychology or behavioral science background. They're trained to differentiate the pretenders from the professionals.
