A Christmas Wish, Get Hired by New Year

A lot of people would like to end this old year and look forward to the New Year with a hopeful outlook. And what better outlook is there than getting fully employed in a promising career, maybe in BPO Philippines?

Many would think that Christmas and New Year's would not be the best time to go looking for a job, sending out applications and resumes. With so much going on during this the busy holiday season, those in charge of hiring people would be busy doing other things right?

Well, it's a general misconception. In actuality a lot of companies are gearing up for the beginning of next year, and they would people to help deal with the potential workload. So, if you're unemployed, this Christmas and New Year seasons would probably be the most fortunate time to seek out work.

Job hunting can have its benefits; probably the most important is doing something productive rather than worry and mope during the holidays because one is still unemployed.

By the year's 4th quarter, some companies forecast who they will be hiring in January and February and already beginning the job hiring process, weeks before Christmas. And so companies may still continue to hire during the holidays, Reasons may vary from business to business, but a lucrative job seeker who wants a job can find one if they put forth the effort to search.

Reasons that companies may continue to hire during the holidays
  • Many companies must spend whatever money is left in the year's hiring budget. If they don't they lose that amount in next year's funds.
  • Some companies have certain incentives that recruiters can earn if they work hard to fill quota and performance and this may mean placing the right people in need jobs and make their year's performance figures spike.
  • There's a tendency for people to resign during or near this time of year. They believe that they can enjoy the holidays with their family and then get a fresh start in January with a new job.
  • Companies, especially the executives like to start the New Year with everything settled and no loose ends. This could mean hiring extra people to deal with the work load or in anticipation of staffing problems or filling any vacant positions now instead of waiting until January.

Job searching is a process that should never be let up on, and continue on with consistency. Jobs that pay high take no holiday, especially in BPO Philippines.
